Description: Lakkadakot is a village mission station, on the border of MS & AP. This station was established in 1974, under the initiative of Fr. Callistus CMI who purchased a plot of land and constructed a farm house. Even though the station is in Maharashtra, most of the inhabitants are of Telugu origin. In 1978, Fr. Mathew Poovakulam CMI, the Priest-in-Charge, was attacked by a group of dacoits. The Sisters of the Destitute began their convent here in 1980 and a dispensary in 2015. Stations of the Cross started during the time of Fr. Canicius CMI to the nearby hill called Cicily Konda has become a pilgrim centre. It has become a great pilgrim centre in the diocese. On Good Friday more than 2000 devotees gather here for Stations of the Cross.
